It's done. Beto is back at CCI. He warmed up to Jeff reasonably quickly and headed off into the kennel without a problem. It's always good to see that--sad, for sure, but good.

Now we are looking at getting a pet dog. And a pet cat, since our beloved "Kiryl" died of kidney disease a few weeks ago. We think we have found ourselves a good cat breeder and a kitten, but the dog is not such a sure thing. So far we have found a male Bernese Mountain Dog puppy in Indiana, and a four-year-old female Rough Collie in Tennessee. Haven't decided on anything yet, and there are probably other options we haven't seen yet. We do want to get either a Bernese or a Collie, though. Stay tuned--things have been moving quickly so far and if we decide on the older Collie we could be picking her up in just a few weeks!
